Tim Dagit Celebrates Business Growth
September 9, 2013 by The Owner’s Manual
Tim Dagit’s name should appear alongside the phrase ‘business innovation.’
In 2006, the Philly Council Member started The Dagit Group, a company that reconstructs restaurants in record time. But Tim has a novel approach to remodeling and rebuilding fast-food franchises, which has earned The Dagit Group a prolific reputation.
By focusing on customer satisfaction, Tim is transforming his industry into a win-win liaison. “We’ve taken a business that is traditionally a hate-hate relationship between the customer and the provider of services into a partnership approach,” Tim explains to the Council. “…The normal general contractor says ‘while we’re here, we’re in charge…’ but we’re the opposite…It’s a very simple difference, but it’s unbelievably remarkable in the marketplace.”
The Dagit Group also has an emphasis on technological processes, which many general contractors lack. “We are doing all the same things that a general contractor does in terms of the construction side. But … our superintendents are walking around with iPads, …our plans are on the web, in the cloud, as opposed to somebody’s truck.”
Clearly, Tim’s on the right path, as his company has just earned a spot on the 2013 Inc. 5000 list. And to Tim, this means The Dagit Group “is growing in such a way that it’s a sustainable growth, not a short-term growth.”
The Dagit Group has now officially made the Inc. 5000 list two years in a row, which has created a flurry of enthusiasm among Tim’s employees. “We were incredibly excited the first time, we’re more excited the second time, and now we’re committed to the third and on.”
Tim, we’re honored to have you as a member of this Council. Cheers to making the Inc. 5000 list and all the best in your future endeavors!
